The promotion of holistic education in a school call for the learners to be engaged in various life skills activities and among which we have the Red Cross Society which empowers them with lifesaving skills and first aid management. The life skills knowledge helps the learners be endowed with the right attitudes and perception of true survival in the world of diversity as they do appreciate the daily challenges faced.
The Red Cross highly thrives on the principles of Humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality: these seven Fundamental Principles sum up the Movement’s ethics and are at the core of its approach to helping people in need during armed conflict, natural disasters and other emergencies.
PRC Chairman Richard Gordon reiterated the importance of the organization’s 4Ps principle—Predict, Plan, Prepare, Practice—to uphold the safety of every family.
It is therefore important to be known that in the development of an all-round child in the holistic education system, the learners should be taught the essence of proper planning, appropriate preparation and masterly of good practices of life so as to survive in this world of diversity.
